What Is It Like to Live in Bronte?
Bronte has a different feel from many other parts of Oakville because the neighbourhood developed around the waterfront and historic Bronte Village rather than as one uniform subdivision.
Closer to Lake Ontario, you’ll find Bronte Harbour, waterfront parks, trails, restaurants and shops along Lakeshore Road West, together with a mix of condominiums, townhomes and established residential streets.
As you move north through Bronte, the character changes. Housing becomes more traditionally residential, while Bronte GO provides an important transit connection for commuters. The area around the GO station is also expected to evolve significantly over time as part of Oakville’s long-term growth planning.
